NYC’s government is bloated, inefficient, and unaccountable. I will:
✅ Merge inefficient agencies—DHS & ACS into the Department of Family and Housing Services (DFHS); Corrections & Probation into the Department of Rehabilitation and Public Safety (DRPS)
✅ Cut wasteful spending—every agency will be held to strict budget deadlines
✅ Hold city workers accountable—misconduct lawsuits over $150K must be paid by the individual, not taxpayers
✅ Prioritize NYC residents—for jobs, housing, and public services
✅ Enforce full government transparency—every tax dollar must be tracked

🚔 Public Safety & Criminal Justice Reform:

✅ Increase penalties for gun crimes & violent offenses
✅ Hold NYPD & corrections accountable while incentivizing good conduct
✅ Deport violent criminal migrants—NYC will not be a safe haven for crime
✅ Invest in community policing & youth crime prevention

We need a balanced approach—holding criminals accountable while reforming law enforcement. I will:

✅ Hold NYPD, corrections & public safety agencies accountable—bad actors must be removed

Animal Protection Plan

New York City must do better when it comes to protecting its animals—both pets and wildlife. My administration will implement strong policies to ensure humane treatment, expand services, and hold abusers accountable.

Key Policies:

✅ Stronger Enforcement Against Animal Cruelty – Strengthen anti-cruelty laws, increase penalties for abusers, and ensure the NYPD and ACC have the resources to properly investigate and prosecute animal neglect and abuse cases.

✅ Improve NYC Animal Shelters & Adoption Services – Reform and expand the Animal Care Centers (ACC), eliminate kill shelters, and provide more funding for no-kill rescues and foster programs.

✅ Expand Access to Affordable Vet Care – Establish low-cost and free veterinary clinics in underserved communities so no pet suffers due to financial hardship.

✅ Protect NYC Wildlife – Enforce humane urban wildlife management, ban inhumane trapping and poisoning, and ensure green spaces are safe for animals.

✅ End Horse Carriage Exploitation – Transition the NYC carriage horse industry to electric carriages, ensuring workers are protected while ending the abuse of horses forced to navigate dangerous city streets.

✅ Stronger Regulations on Puppy Mills & Pet Stores – Ban the sale of commercially bred dogs, cats, and rabbits in pet stores and promote adoption from shelters and rescues.

✅ Support for Animal Rescue Organizations – Provide grants and city partnerships with rescues and non-profits working to save and rehabilitate animals.

New York City thrives because of its hardworking union members. From first responders to transit workers, teachers to sanitation crews, unions keep this city running—but for too long, politicians have taken them for granted. As mayor, I will fight to protect labor rights, secure stronger contracts, and ensure every union worker is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

DC 37 & Local 1549 (City Employees) – Strengthen contracts, ensure fair pay, and stop budget cuts that threaten jobs.
